Director of Microcredit Regulatory Authority visited Mukti’s Program
On 14 January 2024, a delegation from the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA), including Director Md. Zillur Rahman and Deputy Director Md. Minhajul Islam, visited the youth club activities under the adolescent development and cultural program implemented by Mukti Cox’s Bazar at Chowfaldandi Union, Cox’s Bazar Sadar.
During the visit, in honor of the guests, Mukti Cox’s Bazar organized a cultural event themed ‘Medha O Monone Sundar Agami’-- a youth slogan. Md. Zillur Rahman, the chief guest, emphasized the importance of adolescence as a critical period for shaping one’s future. He highlighted that education is indispensable for becoming a good citizen and urged adolescents to focus on building a bright future to contribute to the nation’s progress. He commended Mukti Cox’s Bazar for their tireless efforts in enhancing the skills and moral values of adolescent boys and girls through social activities.
Md. Minhajul Islam, the special guest, also expressed his admiration for the involvement of youth club members in various social activities. Emphasizing the importance of sports and cultural programs for leading a healthy life, he encouraged adolescents to engage in co-curricular activities alongside their academic pursuits. Syed Lutful Kabir Chowdhury, Deputy Chief Executive of Mukti Cox’s Bazar, also attended the event. He noted that the activities of the Adolescent Club members foster talent, leadership qualities, and moral values, protecting them from social crimes and immoral activities. He further stated that life skills and moral education are crucial in preventing child marriage, combating drug abuse, preventing violence against women, and contributing to the creation of child- and elderly-friendly families.
