Capacity Building Training for BWHP Members Led by Mukti Cox's Bazar and Oxfam in Bangladesh!
Mukti Cox’s Bazar, in collaboration with Oxfam in Bangladesh, successfully conducted a two-day long Capacity Building Training for members of the Bangladesh Women Humanitarian Platform (BWHP) under the DFAT AHP Bangladesh Rohingya Response Phase IV Inclusive Project, held on 22–23 June 2025, at Hotel Amazon Lily, Banani, Dhaka.
The training was inaugurated by Jubaida Akhtar, Head of Cox’s Bazar Office, Oxfam in Bangladesh, and facilitated by a dynamic team of professionals including Shahjadi Begum (Program Manager – Gender Justice and Social Inclusion), Fadrick Shuvro Nath (Local Humanitarian Specialist), Gita Adhikari (Regional Staff, Oxfam), Bimal Chandra Dey Sarker (Chief Executive, Mukti Cox’s Bazar), Tarek Aziz (Acting Head – Gender Justice and Social Inclusion, Oxfam), and Mahmuda Akhter (Consultant – Mental Health and Wellbeing).
The closing session was graced by Mahmuda Sultana, Program Director, Oxfam in Bangladesh. This impactful training was made possible through the dedicated support of several key individuals, including Fauzia Yasmin, Amirul Islam (Senior Program Officer, Oxfam), Md. Foysal Bari (Project Manager, Mukti Cox’s Bazar), and Ummay Hany Soily (Project Officer – Gender, Mukti Cox’s Bazar). Together, the initiative marked another stride in fostering inclusive leadership and strengthening the role of women in humanitarian response across Bangladesh.
