Through the cooperation and awareness of people living in the camp, we want Camp-12 to be a shining example of peaceful coexistence. The doors of my office are open to all; I will try my best to provide you with any service."
The Chief Guest Syed Lutful Kabir Chowdhury said in his speech, "Mukti Cox's Bazar has been working in Cox's Bazar district since 1991. In continuation of that, Mukti is always trying to improve the quality of life of the local people as well as those living in the camps. To ensure peace and security, women, youth and community leaders must play an active role. We want everyone to respect each other and cooperate in maintaining law and order."
Speaking as a Special Guest, Coordinator-Protection (Oxfam in Bangladesh) Hafizur Rahman said, "Peace and security are the fundamental rights of all people in the camp. Therefore, ensuring the safety of women and girls is very important. Our project is mainly working to create peaceful coexistence through inclusive development."
The participants, while giving their opinions, said that it is important to maintain cordial relations between the camp and the host community. To ensure peace and security, both sides have to respect each other. At the same time, they said that law enforcement agencies and NGOs should work more closely. Only then will it be possible to solve the problems inside the camp. It is important to revive religious and social values to keep the youth away from drugs and violence.
