New books and school bags distributed
On the very first day of 2024 and 12 May 2024, all the students were in a festive mood as the scent of new books and bags enthralled every educational institution in the country. The students of the learning centers at Mukti Cox's Bazar were incorporated into the festival of new books and bags as well. On Monday, 01 January 2024, new books were distributed free of cost, and on 12 May 2024, new bags were handed over at 10 Mukti Schools in Cox’s Bazar Sadar and Ramu upazila. Tanjina Moni, a class five student of Najirartek Mukti School, said after receiving the school bag, “Like every year, I am very happy to get a new school bag this year. These bags are very strong and beautiful." All types of educational materials are distributed free of cost to the students of Mukti schools under the non-formal education program run by Mukti Cox's Bazar with funding from the donor organization Children on the Edge (COTE). The Chief Executive of Mukti Cox’s Bazar, Mr. Bimal Chandra Dey Sarkar; Councilor of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Ward No-1 S.I.M. Akhter Kamal; Project Manager, Sudeb Rudra, members of different SMC, teachers, and students of respective centers were present at the distribution ceremony. Mukti Cox's Bazar has been implementing education programs according to the government primary education curriculum from 1st to 5th grade and supporting helpless, poor, and dropout/working 1,000 children in 10 learning centers in Cox's Bazar Sadar and Ramu Upazila since 2010.
