Mukti Cox’s Bazar has implemented the project “DFAT AHP Bangladesh Rohingya Response Phase IV Inclusive” in collaboration with the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) with technical support by Oxfam in Bangladesh. As a vital activity, the project organized a 'Stage Drama to Stop Human Trafficking' on January 4, 2024, in Camp 12 at Darbar Hall, in consultation with the Camp in Charge (CiC). Prior to the performance, the Protection & Gender team of the project briefed participants on the drama's objectives. The event was performed by Rohingya volunteers in their native language which effectively raised awareness about human trafficking. The drama highlighted how external influences can lead victims to negative coping mechanisms, emphasizing the resulting vulnerabilities and potential threats to their lives. About 150 people enjoyed the Drama. The audience, comprising women, men, and adolescents from the community, gained a deeper understanding of trafficking risks. Following the performance, a feedback session revealed significant audience appreciation, with many participants feeling motivated by the recognition of their contributions. The drama's realistic portrayal was intended to have a lasting impact on viewers. Additionally, the Assistant Camp-In-charge and Camp in Charge issued directives to avoid political biases in future activities. The event concluded with the votes of audiences determining the top actors, each receiving a blanket as a reward.
