GAC and Australian Aid visited program
On April 30, 2024, a visit was conducted to the "Gender Responsive Assistance for Self-reliance of Rohingya Women and Girls in Cox's Bazar (GRAWS)" project, implemented by Mukti Cox’s Bazar under BRAC Pooled Fund by Global Affairs Canada and Australian Aid. The team consisted of Naveeda Hussain and Ahbadul Yusuf Khan, officials of the Canadian High Commission in Bangladesh; Mr. Khaled Morshed, Advocacy, BRAC; Md. Shahjahan Ali Sarkar and Md. Alauddin, PM, Livelihood; Kaykuzzaman, HCMP, WASH, BRAC; Tanoy Dewan and Afser Ali of BRAC Pooled Fund were also present in this visit. The visiting team was accompanied by Md. Khairul Islam, Director M&E, Mukti Cox's Bazar; and Md. Tofael Islam, M&E Manager Mukti, Cox's Bazar along with Md. Mizanur Rahman, Project Officer; Md. Miskat Uddin, Technical Officer and Md. Monjurul Islam, MEAL Officer, GRAWS Project. Md. Khairul Islam, Director-M&E, Mukti Cox's Bazar briefed the visiting team about the project in the office room of the Training Centre. After the inception of the project, the visiting officials visited the two-day long ongoing training on Homestead Gardening for Kharif season which was being facilitated by the Sub Assistant Agriculture Officer (SAAO). The visiting team talked with the beneficiaries on training, and asked about benefits of the training they had received so far. Besides, they asked to know what facilities and materials had been provided from the project. Naveeda Hussain wanted to know what other supports are required for the further development of their gardens. She concluded her training visit by thanking all the beneficiaries who attended the training. Then the visiting team visited the demo plot of the vegetable garden in the Training Center courtyard.
