Project visit by foreign minister and RRRC
A team of 10 members from ministry of foreign Affairs of Bangladesh led by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee Honorable Dr. A.K Abdul Momen and Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC) visited the project activities of Learning Center (LC) under the project “Education Programme for the FDMN and Host community children in Cox's Bazar (Phase-III) at Camp-5 implemented by Mukti Cox’s Bazar and supported by Children on the Edge (COTE). The team consisted of members like Mr. Nural Islam Nahid (MP), Honorable former Minister of education, Mr. Saymum Sarwar Komol (MP), Whip of national assembly, Mr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Additional Secretary and Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC), Mr. Abu Saleh (Deputy Secretary), Additional Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (ARRRC), and Mr. Mohammed Obaidullah, home ministry along with high officials of home ministry and ministry of foreign Affairs. The honorable guests were welcomed by the project staff and the teachers of the Learning Center (LC), and they briefed the guests on ongoing educational activities and progress updates. During the visit, the team observed the learning process of Myanmar curriculum. Besides, they wanted to know about the teaching process of Hanifi script (Rohingya). The project staff briefed regarding these topics and they said, “Rohingya is a native language of Rohingya people and Mukti Cox’s Bazar is the only Organization in this area which is implementing the project supported by Children on the Edge (COTE) to make Myanmar curriculum easily understandable and accessible to Rohingya children as a helping language to write the Rohingya.” The visiting team thoroughly observed the top-quality teaching process, attendance rates of children, learning materials, environmental situation, and overall management of the project and highly appreciated the project team.
