On 29 June 2025, Mukti Cox’s Bazar organized a vibrant cultural event titled “Message Dissemination through Folk Song” at Camp-12, bringing the power of traditional music to the forefront of community awareness under DFAT AHP Bangladesh Rohingya Response Phase-IV Inclusive Project supported by Oxfam in Bangladesh and funded by Australian Aid.
Key themes addressed at the event included (1) Gender-Based Violence (GBV) (2) Child (3) Forced Marriage (4) Dowry and (5) Polygamy. Folk artists from the FDMN community of Camp 12 delivered powerful performances that resonated deeply with the audience, transforming complex issues into compelling narratives through songs. The event was expertly moderated by Ummay Hany Soily, Project Officer – Gender.
Honored guest Md. Rayhan Ali, Assistant Camp-in-Charge (ACiC), praised the initiative and emphasized the impact of culturally rooted engagement in addressing social norms. With support from CIC officials and Mukti project staff, the event served as a dynamic platform for community dialogue, empowerment, and inclusion. Mukti Cox’s Bazar remains committed to leveraging arts-based strategies to drive awareness and inspire action across communities.
