Mukti Holds Project Inception!
Mukti Cox’s Bazar successfully organized the Inception Workshops of its “Improved Self-Resilience through Livelihood Support in Rohingya Community (ISLS)” project, being implemented with financial support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on 07 and 08 January 2026 at Camp-4 and Camp-4 Extension, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.
The workshops were graced by Camp-in-Charge (CIC) Ms. Suraya Akter Swety as the Chief Guest, while Deputy Chief Executive of Mukti Cox's Bazar Syed Lutful Kabir Chowdhury chaired the sessions. Camp officials, site management, partners, and food security and livelihood actors actively joined, reflecting strong collaboration.
The ISLS Project seeks to enhance household food security and resilience through homestead vegetable production, poultry rearing. Project Coordinator Md. Ruhul Quddus presented the project’s goals, methodology, beneficiary criteria, and risk mitigation strategies, emphasizing inclusivity for women-headed households and vulnerable families.
In her speech, CIC Ms. Suraya Akter Swety praised the initiative, stating “Proper vaccination for poultry is vital to protect animal health and ensure sustainability. High-quality implementation will build trust among stakeholders and encourage continued donor support.”
Deputy Chief Executive reaffirmed Mukti’s commitment to coordination with CIC offices, RRRC, FSS, and LSDS. The workshops concluded with an interactive Q&A session, strengthening shared ownership and collective resolve to improve the dignity, food security, and resilience of 610 Rohingya households.
