Agricultural Inputs Distributed under SHINE Project!
On 29 May 2025, Mukti Cox’s Bazar, with financial support from the Obama Foundation and in collaboration with CARE Bangladesh, distributed agricultural inputs to 40 beneficiaries in Jaliapalong Union, Ukhiya under the Skills for Hope, Independence and Empowerment (SHINE) project. The distribution, held at Sonarpara Integrated Center, provided seeds (Ridge Gourd, Bitter Gourd, Sponge Gourd, Snake Gourd) and essential items including vermicompost, fencing net, pheromone traps, bamboo stakes, and more.
Mr. Syed Lutful Kabir Chowdhury, (Deputy Chief Executive of Mukti Cox’s Bazar and the Chief Guest) emphasized Mukti’s long-standing efforts in poverty alleviation and women's empowerment, “If the project participants make proper use of these resources, they will move toward a more self-reliant future. Mukti Cox’s Bazar remains committed to improving rural livelihoods.”
Ms. Marjina Akter, (Female UP Member of Jaliapalong Union and the Special Guest) added a strong message on gender equity in agriculture, “Women must continue to take the lead in agri-based livelihoods. Your progress is not only personal—it uplifts your whole community.” She sincerely thanked Mukti Cox’s bazar, donor organizations Obama Foundation and CARE Bangladesh for increasing the livelihood opportunities through SHINE project. In addition, the event also set up a feedback desk and an information desk to ensure accountability, transparency, and active participation.
