Mukti Cox's Bazar celebrates Independence Day and observes National Day-2025
On 26 March 2025, "Mukti Cox's Bazar" celebrated the 55th Independence Day and National Day-2025 with due dignity and solemnity by hoisting the national flag at the organization's head office "Mukti Bhaban" located at Goldighirpar.
Holding a rally with the participation of more than a hundred staff and placing wreaths at the Cox’s Bazar Central Shaheed Minar to pay tribute to the martyrs of the War of Liberation in 1971 and the July uprising of 2024, a discussion meeting and a dazzling cultural program were organized at the Head Office auditorium from 9:00 am.
The founder president of the organization and the current honorary member of the Advisory Council, eminent educationist Professor Someshwar Chakraborty, were present as the chief guest in the discussion meeting, while the honorary member of the Advisory Council, former president, eminent lawyer Advocate Shibu Lal Debdas, and the honorary member of the General Council and former General Secretary Mr. Ratan Das, and the General Secretary (Acting) of the Executive Committee, Professor Shormin Siddiqua Lima were present as the special guests. The discussion meeting was presided over by the Chief Executive of the organization, Mr. Bimal Chandra Dey Sarker.
The guests said in their speeches that this independence is the greatest achievement in the history of the Bengali nation and a day to break the chains of subjugation and stand tall. In the discussion, the speakers discussed Operation Searchlight on 25 March 1971, the declaration of independence on March 26, the long nine-month bloody war, and remembered the sacrifices of the martyrs, brave women, freedom fighters and the injured and martyrs of July-August 24 with a humble heart. They called for efforts to present the truth as truth and the lie as lie in all matters. If the benefits of independence are to reach every household, there is no alternative but to fulfill one's responsibilities correctly, honestly, sincerely and sincerely.
The President of the event and the Chief Executive of Mukti Cox’s Bazar, Mr. Bimal Chandra Dey Sarker, wishing a speedy recovery to those injured in the July Uprising (2024), said that the establishment of a dignified society free from discrimination, prejudice, and poverty has already been wrriten in the founding principles of Mukti Cox's Bazar. He said that since its establishment, Mukti has been working relentlessly to free people from discrimination, exploitation and deprivation and is firmly committed to act as a development partner of the government in building a successful and self-reliant Bangladesh. He called on the staff to work with honesty, accountability and sincerity and to convey the benefits of independence to others.
The cultural program was studded with patriotic songs and poems. Finally, the Chief Executive thanked the guests and the staff for successfully organizing the program. The Director - HR & Admin, Mr. Sujit Kumar Bhowmik, facilitated the discussion and cultural program.
