British High Commission Delegation Visits Mukti’s LC and TC
On 07th January 2025, Humanitarian Team Leader of the British High Commission in Bangladesh, Charlie Green along with another official Ellie Moodey visited the Learning Center and Training Center at Camp-09. The visit aimed to observe ongoing education initiatives for the Rohingya community.
The delegation was welcomed by the Camp-in-Charge (CiC) of Camp-09, Mr. Sarwar Kamal; Education Specialist of UNICEF Mostan Zida Alnoor; Education Officer of UNICEF, Machiko Okumura and officials from Mukti Cox’s Bazar, including IM Officer Muktadir Shuvo. During the visit, Green and Moodey observed teaching activities and interacted with teachers, learners and program staff to gain better understanding of the education interventions provided in the camps.
Charlie Green expressed his appreciation for the significant efforts being made to enhance learning opportunities for the Rohingya community. Camp-in-Charge, Sarwar Kamal emphasized the importance of these initiatives in empowering the camp residents with education. He also praised the continuous efforts of Mukti Cox’s Bazar in delivering quality services despite numerous challenges. The visit ended with positive feedback from the British High Commission delegation, who encouraged ongoing collaboration to further strengthen education and training programs for the Rohingya community.
