Mukti Cox's Bazar distributes agricultural inputs at Camp-17, Ukhiya
On 20 March 2025, agricultural inputs to 214 beneficiaries were distributed under the "Gender Responsive Assistance for Self Reliance of Rohingya Women and Girls in Cox's Bazar (GRAWS)" project implemented by Mukti Cox's Bazar with the funding of Global Affairs Canada and technical assistance from BRAC under the Pooled Fund.
Each beneficiary received 02 packets of vegetable seeds (bitter gourd and rice), 05 kgs of vermicompost, 500 grams of cocopeat, 500 grams of rope, 08 bamboos, ad 01 geo bag.
The distribution event took place at Mukti Training Center at Camp-17. The event was presided over by ADM Badruddoja, Project Manager of GRAWS Project. The Chief Guest of the event was Camp-in-Charge and Senior Assistant Secretary, Tapti Chakma. Additionally, Director - Monitoring & Evaluation of Mukti Cox’s Bazar, Md. Khairul Islam; Deputy Manager (MEAL), BRAC, Mohammad Rabiul Hossain Sajib; and Assistant Community Mobilizer Arifur Rahman also attended the distribution event.
The camp in-charge said that through this initiative, another step has been taken towards the self-reliance of Rohingya women. It is worth noting that agricultural inputs will be distributed to 1030 beneficiaries under the project in several phases within this month.
