Meetings held, Committees formed under “A & Y” Project to prevent child marriage
Mukti Cox’s Bazar, with technical support from the United Nations Population Fund, and financial support from The Government of the Republic of Korea, organized a meeting titled “Our stake in preventing child marriage” at the CIC offices of 07 FDMN Rohingya camps (Camp-1W, 11, 12, 13, 15, 19, and 27) in Cox’s Bazar on 20th, 23th, 26th, and 27th March 2025 under its “Delivering Life Skills Education, Life Enhancement, and Youth for Peace to adolescent and youth in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char, Bangladesh” project.
The Camp-in-charges of respective FDMN Rohingya camps inaugurated the meetings. The meetings saw participations from all levels including officers of the CIC offices, Imams, Majhis, and other important persons working in FDMN Rohingya camps. The Deputy Project Manager and M & E Specialists were also present at those meetings along with other senior officials.
Camp-in-charges and the Project Officers talked about the committees that had been formed to prevent child marriage. They urged all to try their level best to prevent child marriage.
The meetings were facilitated by Mr. Mirajul Islam (Deputy Project manager), the M & E Specialist, and Suma Barua (Technical Officer- Child Marriage).
