Mukti Cox's Bazar successfully organized the final match of “Bhasan Char Rohingya Football Tournament-2025”
The exciting final match of Bhasan Char Rohingya Football Tournament-2025 was held on February 25 in Bhasan Char. The tournament was organized by Mukti Cox's Bazar in collaboration with UNFPA under the auspices of the RRRC office in Bhasan Char.
In the match, Al-Helal FC defeated Rohingya United FC by 2-1 goals and emerged as the champions. A total of 14 teams participated in this competition, which made the competition more exciting and exciting.
Mr. Mahfuzar Rahman (ARRRC) was present as the Chief Guest and gave away the prizes to the winning and runner-up teams. He thanked Mukti Cox's Bazar, the donors and everyone present for the successful completion of the tournament. Apart from that, the Camp In-charge, Assistant Camp In-charge, Bangladesh Navy, APBN, Bangladesh Ansar, Fire Service, Coast Guard and officials from other government and non-government organizations were also present there. Rohingya people of Bhasan Char enjoyed the game with of joy and celebration, which proves that there is a deep interest for football among the residents of Bhasan Char.
The main objectives of this tournament were to protect the youth of Bhasan Char from mobile games addiction, and to create opportunities for peaceful recreational alternatives. Organizing such sports is essential to instill interest in football among the youth and guide them towards a more healthy and active life. Previously, Mukti Cox’s Bazar organized such tournaments back in 2023. These sports events spread the message of brotherhood and harmony among the Rohingya community and boosted their morale.
The successful organization of Bhasan Char Rohingya Football Tournament-2025 will undoubtedly be a shining example and will inspire such organizations on a larger scale. At the end of the event, special thanks were extended to all those who worked tirelessly, including the sports instructors of the Adolescent and Youth Project.
